Back to News Climbing Escalade Canada and USA Climbing are excited to announce that the North American Cup Series (NACS) will return in 2023. NACS features the three individual disciplines of climbing – boulder, lead and speed – and allows athletes from the Americas the opportunity to compete at an elite level and develop outside of the World Cup circuit. The 2023 NACS will kick off in Redlands, CA. in mid-April and will consist of seven stops across the United States, Canada, and Costa Rica. 2023 Dates and Locations: April 14-15 Flowstone, Redlands, CA. (Boulder) June 8-10 GoPro Mountain Games, Vail, Colo. (Boulder) July 8-9 Beta Bloc, Montreal, Quebec (Boulder) July 21-23 Eskalar Climbing and Fitness, Escazu- San Jose, Costa Rica. (Lead, Speed) August 4-6 inSPIRE Rock Gym, Cypress, TX. (Lead, Speed) Sep. 8-10 Richmond Olympic Oval, Richmond, British Columbia (Lead, Speed) Sept. 22-24 Vertical View, Meridian, ID. (Lead, Speed) Sportrock Climbing Center, Alexandria, VA. It reduces the gap between national events and IFSC World Cups, adding a much-needed development step” said Christiane Marceau, Executive Director of CEC. “For Canadian athletes, the NACS stops are also a great way to collect CNR points for Team Canada Selection!” Participants in the Series must be licensed with and register through their respective National Federations. Detailed information sheets for each event including registration, training availability, time schedules, etc. will be provided a minimum of 30 days prior to each event. Rules for the events will be published to CEC and USAC websites.
