Petzl and USA Climbing Renew Partnership

USA Climbing and Petzl, an industry leading manufacturer of climbing equipment, today announced a renewal of their partnership that first launched in 2016 and established Petzl as the official safety and lighting partner of USA Climbing.

“We are thrilled to continue and expand our fantastic partnership with Petzl,” said John Muse, VP Sport at USA Climbing. “Not only are they an industry leader, but they have a deep passion for the sport and are truly committed to growing climbing for the long-term.”

As testament to Petzl’s commitment to the entirety of the climbing community, the brand will support all aspects of USA Climbing’s mission from the grassroots constituent needs and the developmental pipeline to national championships and the USA Climbing National Training Center in Salt Lake City.

“Petzl is proud to renew its partnership with USA Climbing. We’ve seen tremendous growth in the sport and USA Climbing has done a fantastic job of elevating American competitive climbing, both domestically and on the international stage,” said Adam Peters, Petzl America Team and Events Specialist. “Our partnership demonstrates a commitment to the organization, athletes, families and all those involved with USA Climbing. Additionally, our focus on safety and education with our products provides a unique benefit that we feel is a great compliment to all those participating in USA Climbing sanctioned events. We’re thrilled to continue to build this partnership.”

“Petzl is the first of several renewals and a new partnership we will be announcing in the near term,” said Kelly Feilke, VP of Marketing, Communications and Development at USA Climbing. “The Covid-19 pandemic has challenged all of our partners and tested our partnerships. We are honored to have an amazing portfolio of brands that maintain an unwavering commitment to the growth of climbing in the U.S.”
