Sanders Wins Her Second Boulder World Cup 6 women represented Team USA at the IFSC World Cup Keqiao 2025, with 4 progressing to Semi-Finals and Annie Sanders placing 1st overall. Annie Sanders won her second Boulder World Cup Gold medal this weekend, making her the 5th US woman to win two or more Boulder World Cup gold medals. Her first win was just last season at the IFSC World Cup Seoul 2024. “I’m pretty excited honestly. I definitely wasn’t expecting it, especially after the first boulder where I was frustrated and pretty much not getting anywhere on the second boulder,” said Sanders after her win. “I was in a bit of a bad headspace, but the third boulder lightened my mood and the fourth I just gave it everything to get to the zone.” In Semi-Finals, Kyra Condie and Cloe Coscoy were among six athletes tied for 11th place. Although they each zoned on different climbs, their scores evened out in the end. Adriene Akiko Clark placed 24th place during Semi-Finals, while Nekaia Sanders and Ella Fisher represented Team USA in the Qualification round, placing 26th and 43rd place respectively. 4 men represented Team USA at the IFSC World Cup Keqiao 2025, with 3 progressing to Semi-Finals. In the Men’s Boulder Semi-Final, Colin Duffy earned a Top on M1 during his 7th attempt after purposefully dropping his chalk bag off the wall before the coordination dyno. Zander Waller, with similar timing as Duffy, topped W1 on his 6th attempt. Ben Hanna, who returns to the World Cup circuit with 15 years of competition experience, found an unintended knee bar while going to the zone of M2, eventually earning a top. In the end, Duffy placed 18th during Semi-Finals, while Hanna and Waller neighbored each other in 21st and 22nd place, respectively. Joshua Gerhardt represented the USA in the Qualification round, placing 57th at his first World Cup. You can rewatch the IFSC World Cup Keqiao 2025 on the IFSC YouTube Channel.
