10 Represent Team USA at IFSC World Cup Prague 2025

Prague, Czech Republic hosted its third consecutive IFSC World Cup this weekend, showcasing its potential as an international climbing hub. The first event of the competition to be streamed was the Men’s Boulder Semi-Final, where high humidity brought tough climbing conditions and rainy spectating.

As weather conditions worsened the following day, the Local Organizing Committee, in coordination with IFSC representatives, made the difficult decision to cancel the women’s Final round. As a result, the standings from the women’s Semi-Final were confirmed as the final overall results.

Despite the challenging circumstances, 10 Team USA athletes competed from June 7–8, with Annie Sanders, Kyra Condie, and Adriene Akiko Clark advancing to the Semi-Final.

Annie Sanders Leads USA in Semi-Final

Denied missing the soon-to-be-cancelled Final, Annie Sanders still led Team USA in the Semi-Final, experimenting with creative beta and thrilling the crowd that remained through the rain. On W1, Sanders attempted the coordination move statically with a remarkably high heel. Her standout moment came when she flashed W4. Although it was her only top, just one other athlete managed to do the same. Sanders finished 12th overall with a score of 44.1.

Adriene Akiko Clark nearly topped W2 on her first try after latching onto the finish hold. Launching from a big coordination step-up, she couldn’t quite get high enough to gain control. Only 9 of the 25 Semi-Finalists made that move, highlighting its difficulty. On W3, she almost executed a hand-foot match on a tiny foot chip, and later came close to completing an intricate side-pull balance move on W4. Clark finished 22nd with two zones and a score of 19.0.

Kyra Condie confidently stuck the coordination dyno zone on W1 during her first attempt—a move only five other athletes managed. She repeated the feat before falling just short of the finish. On W2, Condie’s persistence paid off: she secured the zone on her 10th attempt, launching from two slopers to a sloped volume. On her 11th attempt, she executed the same move again, and with 30 seconds left, fell off the top—mirroring Clark’s experience. Condie finished 17th with three zones.

Also representing Team USA in the Qualification round was Nekaia Sanders in 35th, Cloe Coscoy in 39th, and Helen Gillett in 48th.

Four Represent Team USA in Men’s Boulder

Vail Everett led Team USA in the Men’s Boulder Qualification round, finishing 39th with a score of 54.0. Despite earning only one top, he sent M3 on his second attempt—a feat few others managed—which helped place him ahead of his teammates. Olympian Colin Duffy followed in 47th, topping M1 and M2. Alexander Waller placed 53rd, tying with two others with one top and three zones. Joshua Gerhardt placed 67th with one top and one zone.
