USA Climbing announces locations for 2023 Collegiate National Championships

The Collegiate National Championships return for 2023 and will be taking place April 28-30 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Due to growth in participation, this year’s events will be held at two separate locations. While the Boulder events will be held at the Springs Climbing Center, the Lead/Speed events will take place at Gripstone Climbing & Fitness. The Collegiate National Championships will determine national champions and select the U.S. Collegiate National Team athletes who will represent USA at the 2023 FISU World University Championships. The 2023 Team will be composed of the top three ranked US athletes per gender per discipline.

“Springs Climbing Center is proud to be hosting USA Climbing Collegiate Nationals 2023. We look forward to providing an energetic and fun environment for one of the most exciting comps of the year!” Said Austin Geiman, Owner of Springs Climbing Center.

“Gripstone’s staff and community is excited for the chance to show USA Climbing and its Collegiate members that Colorado Springs is one of the best locations in the nation to host climbing events,” Said Kynan Waggoner, Owner and CEO of Gripstone Climbing and Fitness. “We have a couple of great host facilities in Springs Climbing Center and Gripstone, great access to some incredibly good rock climbing, and a local community that’s eager to show off their town of Colorado Springs – Olympic City USA.”

Registration, and accommodation information is now available on the event info page, as well as details regarding YouTube livestreams. Detailed daily schedules will also be shared closer to the events.
